This story is about a doodle I made one day at the bakery while listening to beautiful music.
Twenty-one years ago, our friend, Dr. Stephen Bart, invited Alfredo and me to his house. He made us an exquisite little appetizer and drinks, which were terrific. We listened to jazz music, and then he, later on, played the piano. I can feel his magical passion as he plays Beethoven to us. He lost his son many years ago and stopped playing the piano. But it was magical as we exchanged our thoughts and started talking about things that bother us. We felt that everything connected.
We spent the whole evening and stayed with him until 5:30 in the morning, just talking, feeling the breeze, and listening to the birds early morning. It was another day well spent with a fantastic friend.
The next day, he visited the deli and gave me a CD. It was the Canterbury chorus, which gave me shivers when I started listening to it. I felt intense energy, so I scribbled while waiting for the bread I was making to get baked. I got a piece of paper, and my colored pens and started doodling with my left hand, closed my eyes, and felt the music. While doodling, I could hear the sound of a little boy’s voice that was high-pitched, trying to reach out a hand.
This is what it turned out to be. It was very special to me, so I had it framed, and it is now displayed at our restaurant in Corona.
Love and light,
